Every year, the market for IT solutions for business aviation is replenished with new products designed for completely different audiences, from professional brokers to ordinary consumers of services. Developers of many applications and platforms, trying to keep up with the client, are introducing a variety of newfangled tricks and adapting their products for all kinds of systems. As part of the Jet Expo 2017 exhibition held in Moscow last month, BizavNews talked with the Vice President for Sales and Marketing of the GetJet project, Roberto Chlaka.
Mr. Hlaka, please tell us about the GetJet project and the history of its creation.
GetJet is a unique platform that was launched in 2017. GetJet allows members to search for private jet flights up to 50% off the full price. In the first 1.5 months of the platform's existence, we have sold more than 20 flights, saving our members about 200,000 euros. More than 140 users have become members of our exclusive club in the European and Russian markets. Not only can brokers benefit from cheaper charter flight prices, but airlines also benefit from fewer empty legs, thereby increasing their revenue and aircraft efficiency.
Our story begins in 2013, when the GetJet concept was first conceived and software development began. The process of developing the algorithms took a long time. In 2014, we bought a domain on the Internet and registered as a company, thus we became one step closer to launching the project after the laborious work of our IT department. In 2015 and throughout 2016, we tested our software extensively. The main attention was paid to the optimization of the system and the development of the broker support concept.
The GetJet platform is a unique tool that allows you to automatically combine flights in opposite directions to get the most out of your business jets and provide customers with up to 50% discount on the total cost. The platform does not offer turnaround flights or parked flights. System users – Clients who fly in one direction and are not ready to pay for empty flights before or after the flight. All GetJet flights are discounted.

There are two types of flights. Bonding: You need to get from Moscow to London. You specify the details of the flight, and the system selects another member of the GetJet club, who at the same time needs to get from London to Moscow. Both you and the other member save up to 50% because your board does not fly empty! Create a Glue and wait for the docking passenger in the opposite direction.
Empty Legs. This is the section of the route that the plane carries out without passengers, having completed the scheduled flight. Take advantage of a passing flight that will even deviate from its route for you!
The system will search for Emtpy Legs direct and incidental flights for your destination.

- Submit a request for gluing or find the options that suit you on your own through the search on our flights tape.
- Go about your business while the system picks up an application for you from another client for gluing, provides the aircraft to choose from, or suggests the optimal Empty Leg.
- Pay for a suitable option from the offered by the system. Fill in the required information and get full information on your flight.
- Take your flight and enjoy the savings. Share your experience and invite your friends to the club. The more of us in the club, the more options for you.

Membership in the GetJet Club is free. This principle was very important to us from the very beginning, so we created a membership rule – “by recommendation”, so that the club's clients were sure that there are no random people on the platform and all requests for “bonding” are real.
How do you assess your prospects?
No one can predict the future, nevertheless we believe that GetJet has great development prospects. We plan to expand our service to markets in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and America. New markets will open up new opportunities for the GetJet platform on long-haul flights, with thousands of new routes available to users.
