Increasingly, we are witnessing how business operators provide assistance in the delivery of medical supplies. NetJets donated two of its Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft late last week to transport a shipment of masks and medical equipment to New Yorkers. The planes took off from Anchorage and headed to Nanjing Lukou International Airport. Having loaded medicines, the jets headed back to Anchorage, where, after passing through customs formalities, they took off again and flew to New York's Teterboro airport. A total of 5.5 tons of cargo was delivered, which was destined for Mount Sinai Hospital (a network of hospitals in New York).
This flight required special approval from two agencies: the US Customs Administration and the Food and Drug Administration of the Chinese government. However, according to representatives of NetJets, the permits were obtained fairly quickly.
Previously, VistaJet began offering the empty leg at no cost to government agencies and healthcare companies involved in the repatriation and medical evacuation of citizens of various countries. The company also takes over the processing of flight permits. In addition to this, the operator's aircraft will be able to carry out a “cargo mission” – the delivery of small medical cargo. VistaJet has created a dedicated web page to direct all inquiries from government agencies and healthcare organizations to prioritize, address the most critical cases, and manage related inquiries.
